The Renaissance foundation has been managed since 1997 by a multidisciplinary team combining operational and entrepreneurial experience.
Dr. Christian Waldvogel
Christian Waldvogel has been a Managing Partner of Renaissance Management SA since 2003.
Besides he is a board member of the swiss export association and the Society for Economic Research (Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Konjunkturforschung) which supports the Konjunkturforschungsstelle (KOF) of ETH-Zurich.
He has operational and managerial experience at an international level in investments (Intel Capital), semi-conductors (Intel) and telecoms (Eutelsat).
Christian Waldvogel holds a doctorate from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, and a Bachelor of Science and Engineering from the University of Princeton.
Xavier Paternot is a Managing Partner and has worked for Renaissance Management since 2004.
He has operational and managerial experience at an international level in the automotive industry (Microchemical Systems) and in aerospace (Hughes Space and Communications).
Xavier Paternot holds a degree in Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Claude Suard joined Renaissance Management as a Managing Partner in 2014.
He has operational and managerial experience as CFO (Accor and Compass) and experience in financing succession operations (DEFI Gestion).
Claude Suard holds an HES degree in Business Economics, with a specialization in finance, from HEG Lausanne.
Dr. Andreas Giesbrecht
Chairman of the Board of Directors
Andreas Giesbrecht has been a member of the Board of Directors of Renaissance Management since 2012.
Andreas Giesbrecht sits on a number of Boards of Directors and is chairman of the Board of Villars Holding SA. He is a Partner of pme-successions.ch.
Previously he worked for Credit Suisse for 30 years, 10 of which he was in charge of the SME clients in French-speaking Switzerland.
Andreas Giesbrecht holds a doctorate in Economics from the University of St. Gallen.

Yvar Mentha has sat on the Board of Directors of Renaissance Management since 2015.
He is Chairman of the Board of the Investment Foundation IST. He is also Partner at BRP SA.
Previously and for over 20 years he held executive positions in asset management and investment funds at a private bank.
Yvar Mentha holds a “licence” degree in law and is authorized to practice as an attorney-at-law in Geneva. He has been a member of the Board of SFAMA.

Peter Stähli has been a member of the Board of Directors of Renaissance Management since 2018.
He works as an entrepreneur, investor and board member. He has also accepted an assignment to manage the Swiss Entrepreneurs Foundation, which is under the patronage of Federal Councillor Johann Schneider-Ammann.
Previously, together with his business partner, he founded the Swiss Economic Forum, which he managed for 18 years as CEO and Chairman of the board and expanded into a national platform for entrepreneurship.
Peter Stähli is an FH graduate electrical engineer and completed postgraduate studies in business administration and marketing.
Mario Mitic is the Investment Director and joined Renaissance Management at the end of 2018. He benefits from managerial and corporate financing experience (Helbling Corporate Finance, Credit Suisse).
Mario Mitic holds a master’s degree in accountancy and finance and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen.
Director – Investor Relations
Felix Kuerschner is the Director Investor Relations and joined Renaissance Management in 2020. He benefits from several years of experience in business development, sales and client relations (Starcom AG, Ebury Partners).
Felix Kürschner holds a bachelor ’s degree in International Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Fulda (Germany).
Administrative Manager and Compliance Officer
Sabine André is in charge of administration and compliance. She has been working for Renaissance Management since 2008.
She has experience as Business Assistant (Medtronic), in Customer Service (Inspectorate) and as a Secretary-Accountant (Sicpa-Corporate Finance).
Sabine André holds a secondary school-leaving certificate in Commerce and the SFAMO diploma from the Fund Academy.
